Miscellaneous
A while back, when I felt clueless about where my PhD was going, I designed these simple games in Python as part of an online course. Feel free to run the codes (play the games) and make any changes to the codes (not necessarily in that order).
Remember the classic arcade game Pong? Here is my version. First player moves with W-S, 2nd player uses Up-Down keys.
This is a simple Memory game. The game starts with 8 pairs of cards, all lying face down. In each attempt you can uncover two cards by clicking on them, if your choice constitutes a pair, those remain uncovered, otherwise, they are turned back as before again.
Trivia:
If you are a foodie, check out Yelp reviews that I wrote a long time ago. :)
I was born in Barrackpore (India), which got its name from the military barracks it hosted when it was the site of the first cantonment of the British East India Company. This is also where the sepoy mutiny against the British started in 1857. Here's how you would spell my name in Bengali (my mother tongue): অনুজিত চক্রবর্তী
This is perhaps one of my favorite videos of all time. I find it very positive and inspiring, and I hope you like it too.
I love Vancouver and consider it my second home. And I love the Youtube channel "Every frame a painting", as you might have already guessed in case you clicked on that link. :)
I really like soccer (also known as football everywhere outside of the USA). I follow Liverpool (they have an amazing anthem) and East Bengal. Below you can find two of my favorite soccer moments. The gif is from a UCL game, where Liverpool pulled off an unbelievable comeback against Barcelona. The still is from East Bengal celebrating after winning the 2003 Asean Club Championship (Picture by ADEK BERRY / AFP).
